Origin
Founded at the intersection of craft and computation.
Cumdisgracetgp began in a converted print shop in 2014, around a long oak table borrowed from the building's previous tenants. Our founders — a typographer, a systems engineer and an industrial designer — had grown weary of work that treated precision as a constraint rather than a creative engine. They wanted to build the kind of products that require a draftsman's patience and a researcher's curiosity: instruments for surgeons, dashboards for traders, identity systems for cultural institutions.
"We don't believe in the trade-off between beauty and rigor. The work that endures is the work that is both — measured to a tolerance, and made with feeling."
A decade later, the table is the same. The studio has grown to thirty-four people across two ateliers in Copenhagen and Kyoto, and the work has travelled — into operating rooms, exhibition halls, satellite ground stations and the dashboards of several of Europe's most demanding engineering firms. We still measure twice. We still cut once. And we still believe the best products are the ones that quietly disappear into the hands of the people who use them.
